Pray with Confidence!

"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.  Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
Hebrews 4:15-16

In our times of struggle we should have this portion of scripture marked off or set aside to be easily picked up and considered.  When the trials of life come and we are struggling to see out of it look at this scripture.  When you are having problems in your relationships and are tempted to go off or do the wrong thing, look at this scripture.  When your finances are looking inevitably on the decline and you are in the heart of the struggle, look at this scripture.  When you just lost someone you love dearly, look at this scripture.  If you are being tempted to go back into your addiction, look at this scripture.  When life hurts you, beats you up, you are feeling down, starting to feel the weight of the world, beginning to see the start of despair, life feels like its closing in on you, look at this scripture!  This word says, no matter what you are going through, what ever the circumstances you find yourself in, we have a God, in Jesus, that can relate to our struggle in EVERY RESPECT!  That is such a powerful statement!  Jesus was tempted in every regard with the same exact temptations we are in life.  Yet Jesus did not sin!  And this is why we have free access to the remedy when life has us in the grips of the world.  We are to draw to the throne with confidence.  Cry out in prayer to our Lord!  He can relate in EVERY way!  Cry out with confidence in prayer to God.  The promise of this scripture is so beautiful.  God says, I know what you are going through, in fact I know exactly in every single detail what you are going through, so pray to Me, and not just that, but pray with confidence, expect the grace and the mercy in your time of need, in your time of help, because I get it, I get it, I was tempted in every way and I know your exact agony, your exact pain, so pray to Me with full confidence in your time of pain and need, and I promise to extend the grace and mercy, and you are to expect to receive it!  What an amazing, loving, God we have!  Whatever you are going through today, whatever the pain may be in your heart today, know that you have a God that gets it in every single respect.  Know that you can have the confidence to come to Him in prayer today.  He promises that you will receive the grace and mercy you need in your time of struggle.  Love you all!  Praying for you and yours!  Have a blessed day, it's your choice!
