Love is an Action!

"Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses."

Proverbs 10:12

You want to know why the world looks like it does today?  You want to know why people are after each other, to prove each other wrong and make their opinion the right one?  You want to know why when you look at the news or scroll down your Facebook feed, you can literally feel the tension?  This verse points to the problem in the world today, and offers the solution.  The reason there is so much tension, anger, despair in the world, is because Satan has deceived many people in order to cause hate.  And hate causes strife.  Strife is defined as angry or bitter disagreement over fundamental issues.  Over fundamental issues!  Do you get the feeling this is what all the tension is about in our culture, and the world today?  The main lie Satan has deceived our world with is that your opinion is right, and therefore true.  This makes no sense.  If everyone's opinion is right, and therefore true, then it is not true by definition, because the truth points to one overwhelming fact.  Our culture has a saying now that justifies their opinion as being true by saying, 'that's my truth'.  The real truth is that there is one Way, Truth, Life, and that is Jesus Christ.  The reason there is so much strife in our world is because this opinion as truth agenda is being pushed and therefore causing all the hatred between people.  And the sad part is that it is working perfectly.  People are hating one another without even knowing each other!  But, this scripture above also answers the solution to this issue.  The answer to the problem of hate is love.  But, in our world we also have the wrong view of love.  Our culture views love as sex, and therefore, views love strictly as a feeling.  This is simply not true, although the world makes it seem that way.  People are getting divorced, cheated on, and broken up because 'I don't love him or her anymore'.  They are basing these 'love' decisions off of feelings.  Love is not a feeling it is an action.  "Love is patient, and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude; it does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth; love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things" (1 Cor 13:4-7).  You notice how biblical love is all action?  You notice how if you think about how the world is reacting to one another, it is literally the opposite of all of this?  Love is the answer!  How are you loving on people today?  It's not a feeling, it's an ACTION!  Pray and ask the Lord to guide you in the Holy Spirit to love on the people He brings to you today.  Love on people today, and be blessed by it!  Love can truly change the world,and it starts with you!  Love you all!  Praying for you and yours!  Have a blessed day, it's your choice!
